Lil Nickelson is a seasoned accounting and finance professional (BBA - Accounting, MBA - Finance) whose passion for cooking started at 5 years old with her mother and maternal grandmother. Her passion was reignited when she took her first recreational cooking class at the Institute of Culinary Education where she became Manager of Operations and Guest Services at the school three nights a week in order to take over 100 classes for free. Lil started writing her online food column "Dining With Miss Lil" for Harlem World Magazine as she returned to working as a accounting/finance consultant. Lil managed two farmer's markets in Harlem in 2014 and worked as a Just Food's Community Chef on weekends at two farmer's market in 2015. Lil is a principal in Food For Living LLC and is presently working as a Healthy Lifestyle Coach and Mentor with an emphasis on teaching people how to eat and cook with a conscience, organize their kitchens, and schedule their time to prepare healthy meals at home based on foods that aregrown locally and in season.
