Ollín Rodríguez Lopez was previously a organizer for a national student-led food justice organization called Real Food Challenge. His focus was to organize students in higher education and working with various university stakeholders on implementing more sustainable food models on campus. He has also worked with grassroots organizations for migrant rights and LGBTQ communities in Oaxaca, MX. Ollín had been actively involved in community organizing work for low-income LGBTQGNC people, a former steering committee member for the Student/Farmworker Alliance, and racial and economic justice with youth for the past 8 years. He is currently completing his bachelors degree in Race and Ethnicity Studies at The New School. Ollín is a queer, transgender man and comes from Mexican, Salvadorian and Indigenous descent. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.
