Director of Policy & Advocacy, Community Food Advocates

Socheatta Meng is the Director of Policy & Advocacy at CFA where she works to reform food and income policies so they are more equitable and accessible to low-income New Yorkers.  In this role, Socheatta also focuses on ensuring that directly impacted communities play a leading role in the advocacy process. She previously worked at the New York Civil Liberties Union, focusing on economic justice, criminal justice, and human rights issues. Socheatta is a graduate of the University of Chicago, King’s College London, and Brooklyn Law School, and a Board Member of Mekong NYC.
